Miscellaneous Colorado Photos
These are some photos of places in Colorado that I have taken over the years. They probably won't be in chronological order, but I will try to put the date of the photo in the description.

Durango & Silverton Railroad
In 1983 Diane and I took the narrow gauge railroad trip from Durango to Silverton and back. I also took the train in 1974 with Mom, Dad, and Jill. It is a beautiful ride and fun to do. I took this from near the rear of the train as we were starting to go around the curve. I have seen a few other photographs in calendars that were taken of the same spot. Of course I think that I have the best one. :-)
Silverton, Colorado
This was taken from the Million Dollar Highway overlooking Silverton. I have had people comment that the photo looked more like a photo of a painting, than the real thing
Bighorn Sheep - Rocky Mountain National Park
It had rained for days while we were there and we never saw the sheep. On the last day it stopped raining and on our way out of the park they came down off the mountain and we were able to see them.
Hummingbird Feeder - YMCA Camp Estes Park
While we were eating breakfast one morning the feeder outside the building we were staying in was very busy.
Colorado Columbine Flower
On a trip with Diane we came across a meadow full of Columbine flowers at a pullout on some pass. They are beautiful flowers. Lots of people were stopping and taking pictures and enjoying the view.
Summit Lake, Mt. Evans, Colorado
In August, 1999 I was on a business trip to Denver and Diane and the kids came along with me. One evening we drove to Mount Evans. Because of the rain and clouds being low we only went as far as Summit Lake. I think that is Mount Evans peeking thru the clouds in the background. It was 34 degress according to the thermometer on the privy.
Maroon Bells, Aspen, Colorado
I have only camped there once, with Diane. I took this one time when we were visiting there. I think we were staying at Snowmass Village that time. Pictures of the Bells always look nice, but they can never surpass the experience of being there. It's a great reminder of God's majesty, the thrill of being there, and anticipation of going again.
